Our Coaches

Our coaching staff brings nearly five decades of combined jiu-jitsu experience to the mats. Their expertise extends beyond sport jiu-jitsu, shaped by MMA, Greco-Roman wrestling, and extensive military training in close-quarters combat and weapons systems.

Adam Johnson

Born and raised in Reno, Nevada, Adam Johnson is a lifelong martial artist, dedicated father, and passionate jiu-jitsu instructor with over 20 years of experience. As a proud father to his teenage daughter, Adam understands the importance of discipline, structure, and confidence both on and off the mats.

Adam’s martial arts journey spans eight years of mixed martial arts and fourteen years of Brazilian jiu-jitsu. As a first-degree black belt, he has competed at events including IBJJF, NAGA, Fight 2 Win, the ADCC Open, and Ultimate Reno Combat, and has trained alongside some of the best grapplers in the world. This experience allows him to guide students with a balance of technical precision, safety, and real-world application.

Now based in Fallon, Nevada, Adam is committed to bringing high-level jiu-jitsu to Churchill County. He has helped hundreds of students — from first-day beginners to seasoned competitors — build confidence, resilience, and skill through disciplined training. Whether your goal is self-defense, competition, or personal growth, Adam is here to meet you where you are and help you move forward.

“Fallon is home now, and my goal is to make it a hub for high-quality jiu-jitsu. Together, we can build something truly special.” — Adam Johnson
